Found today at indoor flea market. A few scratches. No cracks. Tag said just static. Ah huh.
Anyway the tag said 30 bucks. There is really no way to dicker with the vendors as they just set up and are gone.

Pictured is not one in discussion.

Going hunting for wadios tomorrow so decided to save the 30. If I don't find anything on the hunt for wadios tomorrow I may go back and get it.

I saw one on Ebay tonight starting at 60 bucks in working and good cosmetic condition. I then saw another on there starting at 19.95 not working with scratches and who knows what else.

Thinks it worth it to fix up.

Update: The 60 dollar one was the not working, bad cosmetic one and the 19.95 was the working good condition and is now at 29.95.

Go figure

Ah crap. Look here and:

Hey, Oldradiospook: probably a good deal for $30. I have a few, but paint is a problem, Except the black one!

Spook,
That's a great radio for $30.00. When they are fixed, they sound very good. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Bought one in excellent, unrestored condition a few weeks ago at an auction for $10. They are sweet little radios!

I'm cipherin' on it. I saw an AK Model 40 today with speaker. He wanted 125. Speaker was pretty ratty. All the tubes were there and very clean inside. A Zenith late 50's or 60's model tabletop plastic and a Philco wooden tabletop for 45. I will edit this thread later with pictures I took. Look in the Oct finds and losses.

Spook,
Those radios are nice, but the last 3 I had needed the IF cans rebuilt. Silver migration disease.

They are not hard to do though, and the set plays nice afterwards. The large speaker in that thing will sound good.
