I found an Emerson BW-231 among my pile of radios in the attic. Is this set as rare as the BD-197 Mae West? The escutcheon on mine unfortunately is warped...have yet to find a source for one...

I don't know what your set looks like, but I believe it was someone from Connecticut who
had one of the "Mae Wests" on Ebay a few month ago. Said he found it on the side of the road!
Sold for $1200+ if I remember correctly. Some find!
Was the Mae West radio where the original "boob tubes" came from?????

Here's a picture of the BW-231. Mine is like this, though less knobs and a warped escutcheon. The dial on mine is in good shape thankfully.
