PostSubject: My workbench design   Mon Oct 18, 2010 8:56 am

It's amazing. Others like my workbench design so much they have built exact duplicates of it.

This guy even calls it his "Workshop/Sanctuary Area".
Acme PRO Audio Service, Ohio
I like how his page begins with "Quality and Integrity".
I was wondering who was sneaking into my shop. At least he puts my tools back. Laughing

These guys aren't as bold:
LMC Audio Systems LTD, UK

I've helped them out by listing them on my workbench page so everyone can see their "Quality and Integrity"...
My Workshop/Sanctuary Area
I've contacted them. Let's see how long it takes them to remove my photo.
Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

UPDATE 10/21/10: In response to my DMCA take down notices, my workbench photo has been removed from the UK site and the Ohio site has been disabled by the hosting company.

That takes some bronzed glands, doesn't it Steve? Integrity indeed. How did you happen to find them?

Someone in the UK sent me an email after they recognized my bench photo.

The Acme guy is using a second workbench photo also. Bet it's not his.

Anyone know who's it is?

Found it. He grabbed them off the Radio Attic's workbench's page.

I don't mind the UK one, they are just using the photo. Just wished they asked permission first.

The Acme Audio guy is a real loser. I'd like to know how he's getting into my house.

That is pretty bold to be stealing photos of another's bench and claiming it to be theirs for the sake of attempting to get business. Acme Pro Audio even sounds cheesy- probably has all of a kid's school desk with a broken Simpson 260. I especially like this quote from his site "...but now this business allows me to do it my way, the right way".. What? cyclops

That is so pathetic it's almost funny.

Pretty soon he'll claim to have a rare Supreme interocitor just like Steve's:

I'm pretty sure no one is ever going try to represent this workbench as their own. I'm not sure I even want to. Shocked

Hey Steve,
How do we know you didn't steal that photo from Acme Pro Audio Service and claim it's your bench... right? We need proof, get today's newspaper, put it on your supposed bench and take a picture...

Photoshop is not allowed... :-)

Sal

PS: Larry, you have not see my bench....

The Acme guy is in a suburb of Cincinnati. Might be interesting to call the Cinci newspaper. And his ISP.

I ALWAYS love any excuse to show off my bench-

Yeah, it's in the kitchen. That's the dining room table and in the second photo the 912 is sitting on the dog cage. He likes to go there and think up mean tricks to pull on the cat.

"Shhh- don't tell the dog where I'm at"

And no- I'm not married. If I were, do you think there'd be a man cave in the kitchen?
I don't think so.

Heck, I'm not even allowed in my (her) kitchen. But that's OK since I get the great food coming out of it. Laughing

(although I do sneak in and make popcorn sometimes when she's at work)

I sent Integrity boy's web host a "Notice of Copyright Infringement". Maybe they will take it down.

I went to the wayback archive site and checked out Acme Audio's website and here is a real photo of his work bench, I like the refrigerator shelving unit. I guess his test equipment runs hot.. :-)

His industrial shelving behind him must consist of milk crates and wood from old pallets...

That sure is a COOL way to display your test equipment Laughing

No wonder he stole pictures off the web, but I pity his unsuspecting customers.

Yes, I can't blame him for attempting to steal a picture of someone else's shop. Probably not going to get a lot of customer prospects with an old fridge full of junk equipment. Razz
