If this is the amp.....

It looks like the same switch that the V and other sets from that series use..... It's a 3 piece affair IIRC - the center piece and the 2 screws (above and below) hold the contact strips...

There may be more than one amp called a Two Step. The ones I have seen with "Two Step" on the panel have a "dead end" to the rheostats that serves as the "off" position, not a separate switch.

The switch knob shown above is like that on the "X" as well. You could be arguably correct with a metal handle switch from a Trirdyn - which is correct for a 50A and 51A, and would be easier to find.

I suspect the switch in this example is a replacement.... it looks much too substantial to get Crosley's approval..... Laughing

Why don't you check an authoritarian Crosley website and find out? Rolling Eyes

Even though it was tongue-in-cheek (ie., SARCASM), I really can't find anything there to deny my postulation..... The "authoritarian" example may well have a replaced switch.... With the suspect switch shown - there would be no need for the screws above and below - which held contact strips in the original design....Razz ....

I understand that Powel's slogan "Better -- Costs Less" was interpreted to his engineers as "better cost less".
