howdy, got me a working 422 and am looking to recap the PS, however one cap has smeared the value of the capacitance, all I can see is 50v, Sprague and 6626J markings, all else is unreadable. The cap is tek part no. C665, thanks!

Can you post a picture of the Electrolytic to compare with mine.

i have a 422 also. it's an awesome little scope. 15mhz. i don't have the battery pack and don't have the front cover though.

one day...maybe.....

i do have the service manual for the scope and the separate service manual for the power supply - battery pack.

neither show a "c665", but, the only service manual i've found available online is the one written for scope s/n's from 100 to 19,999.

my scope is somewhere around 21,xxx i think.

I have a djvu of the manual, but there is no power supply list with it, I believe they were separate manuals for this scope, my serial number is 6937, thanks

if you need the service manual for the power supply, i can email it to you. it's only 7.7 meg in pdf.

also, the service manual does not have a listing for c665. if you want, post a pic of the cap and i'll look at my power supply and get back to you.

yeah, i like this little scope. i was once looking at building my own battery supply, but it sure seems like it would be a waste of time though.

sure, Martin, although Bill did send me the value of the cap, it's located in your picture #1 as the large cap seen through the hole, the bottom cap with the black end cap, should be marked on the case as C665, you have the same power supply I have! Thanks, Randy
