I just got a G.E. clock radio from 1954 with only one of the clock knobs present. Who is the king of clock radio knobs?

Good to know. I really enjoy those '50s and '60s clock radios, but I'd never buy one with missing knobs because it's such a pain to replace them. Guess I've got a source now.

Do you have a photo ? I think lots of us have those knobs stashed in a special drawer in our shops....

Very Happy Need two knobs to match, or three knobs if no match to this one. All fit split shafts. White preferable: the two closeups appear ivory but the knob is white as in the first shot.

I hadn't noticed the crack in the clock face when I bought it or I might not have. Can't feel it on the outside. I'm wondering if I put crazy glue or some other clear stuff on the inside the same refractive index as the plastic if it would be less noticeable? The clock cover appears to be glued to the case. Maybe time to experiment by cracking some junk plastic...

All I could come up with is some clear ones. They have pretty good-sized pointers, so that may not be to your liking. The smaller one could be used for the sleep dial set......but you'd probably have to remove the pointer on it.

ALso, I think any attempt to improve on that dial cover crack will just make things worse. A replacement is best I would think......maybe make one yourself using the methods that have been discussed on ARF a number of times.

Dennis, clear is fine, but the long shanks on those wouldn't fit: notice the one knob I have is flat on the inner surface and fits tight up against the face of the clock: there is no recess into the clock face. Thank you, though!

Hi Reece, I think I have a radio that has all of the parts you need.

Let me know if this is what you are looking for. Kris

I don't have those knobs right now, but I did make a mold for them recently. Just didn't get around to making the knobs yet. I should have them made in a week. Just so you know in case you can't get originals.

Thanks to all who responded. These little knobs aren't all that easy to find! I made a deal with Kris and will be getting the knobs from him. Ed notified that he will be making the same ones soon to add to the many different styles that he shows on his site.

Thanks again,

Reece

Thank you Reece, your paypal payment is received for the Knobs. If you have a measurement of the dial cover I can see if mine is the same size. I do not need it and will throw it in for free if it will work for your set. Kris
